To assist with this advice, here are three T\u2019s to remember:<\/p>\n
1) Time
\na. Take control over your calendar
\nb. Just because it\u2019s \u201chappening now\u201d doesn\u2019t make it urgent
\nc. Expect the unexpected with sprints and buffers
\nd. Don\u2019t prioritize everything, just your top 3 items
\n2) Talent
\na. Not everyone around you is incompetent
\nb. Greasing the wheels is different than pulling the cart
\nc. Don\u2019t feed someone else\u2019s monkey
\nd. Be the CEO of your life
\n3) Teaching
\na. Sometimes people are looking for \u201cnext step\u201d directions, not necessarily asking you to do it
\nb. Seeing yourself as the hero just creates more disasters and damsels in distress \u2013 teach people to fish.
\nc. You don\u2019t have to open the door to every Tom, Dick or Harry. Be selective. Deliberately choose your clients, co-workers, and playmates. Select the ones that will be advantage to you as well as visa-versa. Just because you can help everyone doesn\u2019t mean that you should. There are other teachers out there that may be a better match to the rest.<\/p>\n
