What one thing \u2013 right now \u2013 sitting right here.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Quick hint&#8211;<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nLook around the room, across the room, at your neighbor, and at the  speakers.\u00a0 We\u2019re all different, with different situations and  aspirations. But there\u2019s one thing \u2013 and it\u2019s the same thing, that each  of us can do to get us closer to each and every goal that we have.\u00a0\u00a0 Can  anyone tell me what that one thing is?<\/p>\n<p>Absolutely! &#8212; We can all \u201cthink differently\u201d.<br \/>\nAnd isn\u2019t this what everyone one of these speakers are suggesting here  today? That we start thinking just a little differently about our  finances, our nutrition, our bodies and our relationships? It doesn\u2019t  cost us anything to \u201cthink just a little differently\u201d, to change our  attitudes about such things.<\/p>\n<p>Albert Einstein is one of my most  favorite philosophers. He believed, &#8220;<em>We can&#8217;t solve problems by using  the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.&#8221; <\/em><\/p>\n<p>So \u2013 if we find ourselves in a bad mood, or stressed or overwhelmed \u2026\u2026 try out these \u201cnew, slightly different thoughts\u201d.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This is hard, but it\u2019s doable<\/li>\n<li>There\u2019s a lot here to accomplish \u2013 but I don\u2019t have to do it all \u201cright now\u201d or even today.<\/li>\n<li>There\u2019s always plenty of time to do the important things.<\/li>\n<li>The  MUST Dos will always get done \u2013 otherwise they aren\u2019t truly \u201cMUST  DO\u2019s.\u201d So I don\u2019t have to really worry about having enough time to get  them done.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Worried about things?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In these difficult economic times, it&#8217;s easy to worry about finances, health,\u00a0 and family members.<\/p>\n<p>But worry  is wasted energy.\u00a0 Worry won&#8217;t positively change any situation. \u00a0 Worrying about things you can do about is ridiculous. \u00a0 Just start doing \u201cthat something\u201d and the worry disappears. If it\u2019s  something you cannot do anything about, shrug.\u00a0 It&#8217;s out of your control.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Discover the power of the SHRUG<\/strong>. (Surrender, Hug, Ridiculous, Unique, Grow)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong>S<\/strong>urrender &#8211; accept that some things are out of our control and shrug about it<br \/>\n<strong>H<\/strong>ug &#8211; Appreciate people, places, event, things around you \u2013 hug yourself<br \/>\n<strong>R<\/strong>idiculous  &#8211; Rid yourself of the ridiculous self-sabotage. eliminate imaginary  dependencies\u2026. Need to do this before that. Go to bed early before I can  get up on time.<br \/>\n<strong>U<\/strong>nique &#8211; acknowledge that you are  unique and sometimes people won\u2019t \u201cget you\u201d \u2013 and that\u2019s okay. It\u2019s not  your job to make them understand you.<br \/>\n<strong>G<\/strong>row &#8211;  acknowledge that mistakes are part of expanding, developing and  evolving.\u00a0 If we aren&#8217;t making mistakes, we&#8217;re not learning or evolving.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thinking positively doesn&#8217;t always mean &#8220;be positive&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/svapm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/EmotionalScale.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-5191\" src=\"https:\/\/svapm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/EmotionalScale-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thinking differently and thinking positively doesn&#8217;t mean &#8220;think happy thoughts&#8221; or always &#8220;be happy&#8221;.\u00a0\u00a0 Thinking positively actually means think thoughts that moves you in the positive direction.\u00a0\u00a0 For instance, if you are depressed and feel powerless, then a positive thought from &#8220;powerlessness&#8221; and &#8220;depression&#8221; is actually <em><strong>ANGER<\/strong><\/em> or <em><strong>REVENGE<\/strong><\/em> .<\/p>\n<p>Not many people would consider &#8220;ANGER&#8221; or &#8220;REVENGE&#8221; as a positive, happy-go-lucky thought.\u00a0 But is it certainly a positive thought from despair.\u00a0 As Einstein would say, &#8220;It&#8217;s all relative&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conclusion:<\/strong> &#8212;<br \/>\nI have placed 30 tips on my Stress Management Perpetual 30 Day  Calendar.\u00a0\u00a0 I also have a chart of word substitution to help curb that negative self-talk.\u00a0 If you would like either of these tools \u2013 please contact me at  LauraRose@RoseCoaching.info.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What can each of you do \u201cright now\u201d to get you closer to your goals?<br \/>\nFinancially, nutritionally, physically, relationship wise?
