So at the PMI Breakfast Roundtable meeting this morning Mike invited us to share “the phrases, philosophy, and places of strength” that we latch onto to keep us going in times of crisis.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Here are the anchors we shared to sustain us when the going gets tough:<\/p>\n

“Trust the process!”<\/p>\n

“Don’t take it personally.”<\/p>\n

“Is anyone going to remember this over the long run?”<\/p>\n

“Whatever you think you can or can’t, you’re right!”<\/p>\n

“Are you a superstar?\u00a0 So you act, so you feel, so you are.”<\/p>\n

\u00a0“People do what you inspect, not what you expect.”<\/p>\n

“If you’re afraid to fail, you’re afraid to succeed.”<\/p>\n

“It’s the project manager’s job to make good things happen every day.”<\/p>\n

“If you’re not trying to get fired every day, you’re not trying hard enough.”<\/p>\n

“It’s OK. \u00a0It will still be broken in the morning.”<\/p>\n

Nuggets like these can truly help when things don’t go as planned, which on projects both large and small, can seem like every day.<\/p>\n
