The classes in the Santa Clara Valley Water District’s (SCVWD) program this year (it varies slightly from year to year) are Role of the Project Manager<\/a>, Scheduling Optimization Techniques for Managers<\/a>, Project Integration & Risk Management<\/a>, Creating the Successful Project Team<\/a>, Project Management Negotiation Principles & Techniques<\/a>, Project Leadership & Communication<\/a>, and the capstone course Applied Project Management<\/a>.<\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the kind of measurements and information we’ve suggested the students collect.<\/p>\n

Some of the items to be included (add anything that is important to you):<\/p>\n

a.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Description of current project management skills and responsibilities<\/p>\n

b.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Self-rating of your PM skills on scale of 1 to 5 (1 = very low, 5 = very high)<\/p>\n

i.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Initiation (starting projects)<\/p>\n

ii.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Planning (estimating\/communicating scope, schedule, resources)<\/p>\n

iii.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Executing (doing\/managing project tasks as planned, coordinating resources)<\/p>\n
