\"\"<\/a>The Pilgrims, who set sail from Plymouth, England on a ship called the Mayflower on September 6, 1620, were bound for the resourceful \u2018New World\u2019.\u00a0 Aboard were passengers comprising of the \u2018separatists\u2019, who called themselves the \u201cSaints\u201d, and the others, whom the separatists called \u201cStrangers\u201d.<\/p>\n

After land was sighted in November following 66 days of lethal voyage, a meeting was held and an agreement of truce was worked out between the Saints and the Strangers.\u00a0 It was called the Mayflower Compact.\u00a0 The agreement guaranteed equality among the members of the two groups.\u00a0 They merged together to be recognized as the \u201cPilgrims\u201d.\u00a0Are you and your stakeholders Pilgrim-like?<\/p>\n

Do you have enough details in your schedule?\u00a0 Any wide gaps in your schedule?<\/em><\/p>\n

How comfortable are you with your time estimates?<\/em><\/p>\n

Is the schedule kept up to date on a regular basis?<\/em><\/p>\n

Is operational handoff part of the schedule?\u00a0 How will lingering issues be handled?<\/em><\/p>\n

Do you have a change management process in place?<\/em><\/p>\n

Does the Project Sponsor review, approve, and sign-off on scope change requests?<\/em><\/p>\n

Implementation:\u00a0 Are We Doing It?<\/strong><\/p>\n

How are risks being tracked?\u00a0 Are you assessing likelihood and probability?<\/em><\/p>\n

How are stakeholders being notified of risks?<\/em><\/p>\n

Who are the stakeholders?\u00a0 What do you owe them from a communications standpoint?<\/em><\/p>\n

How frequently will project status reports be submitted?<\/em><\/p>\n

Do you have the need of a \u201cdaily call\u201d approach to communication?<\/em><\/p>\n

How are cross-functional teams integrated for their communications needs?<\/em><\/p>\n

Who are you counting on?\u00a0 For what, by when, by who?<\/em><\/p>\n

Are you subject to regulatory requirements?\u00a0 What is the likelihood of those changing?\u00a0 Or being delayed?<\/em><\/p>\n

Has funding been approved?<\/em><\/p>\n

Do you have external vendors working on the project?<\/em><\/p>\n

How do you manage those portions of your project that have been \u2018subcontracted\u2019 to someone else?<\/em><\/p>\n
