{"id":11102,"date":"2012-12-06T08:15:24","date_gmt":"2012-12-06T15:15:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/svapm.org\/?p=11102"},"modified":"2012-12-04T07:05:03","modified_gmt":"2012-12-04T14:05:03","slug":"using-game-theory-to-tranverse-obstacles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/svapm.org\/?p=11102","title":{"rendered":"Using Game Theory to Traverse Obstacles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Laura Lee Rose, author of <strong>TimePeace: Making peace with time<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Many of the strategies used in games can be effectively translated to business and professional navigation.\u00a0 Find out how\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>Notice the similarities between game play and office strategies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Play by the rules of the game<\/li>\n<li>Familiarize yourself with your opponents strengths and weaknesses<\/li>\n<li>Understand the stats on your teammates<\/li>\n<li>Accommodate for any handicaps on your team, and defend against the strength on the other team<\/li>\n<li>Keep your \u2018tells\u2019 in check (Be aware of what your nonverbal cues and reactions are expressing)<\/li>\n<li>Understand your options.\u00a0 (You have more than one game piece on the board)<\/li>\n<li>Continue to increase your skills and focusing on gaining additional game pieces<\/li>\n<li>Take advantage that you have three lives.\u00a0 (Be willing to take risks to learn how to get to the next level)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you were to take advantage of just one idea \u2014 I recommend the multiple lives rules.<\/p>\n<p>Most games give you multiple chances to advance.
